About Me

I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist who has worked for the NHS since 2004, becoming fully qualified in 2009. Throughout my career, I have worked with adults, older children/adolescents, families and couples.  I have a specialist interest in eating disorders and the impact of long term physical health conditions.

I have worked in a range of areas including adult mental health, eating disorders and medical psychology. In recent years I have focused on helping people adjust and cope with physical health conditions including chronic pain, diabetes, cardiac conditions, neurological conditions (MS and PD) among others. This is varied work  that includes managing symptoms and treatment as well as the impact on mental health, family, relationships, self-esteem, identity and work. I most recently held a part-time position at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Trust working in HIV and Sexual Health services before leaving  to commit more time to independent work.

I trained and studied the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of Sheffield.  I am registered as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I am a member of the regulatory body for clinical psychologists, the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).

I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS check (disclosure and barring service, formally CRB).

I live locally in West Bridgford and have 3 children.
