About Me
I am a Senior Clinical Psychologist and I have been working in psychology since 2004, both in the NHS and more recently in private practice.

For over 15 years I have worked in a variety of specialisms but now in my independent practice I focus on working with people who are anxious, stressed , low or burnt-out. There is no one single reason that can lead people to feel this way and consequently there is no single way to move through it.
I have found one of the most common causes of these difficulties people face is not feeling good enough. Why and how this came about differs from person to person as does how

I know that working on the symptoms alone can be like a sticking plaster

Whilst I have had my own experience of feeling this way, what qualifies me to help is my years of studying and experience as a psychologist.

There are so many essential skills that we simply don't get taught around how to manage our difficult thoughts and feelings. There are so many myths about how we should feel, how we should act and how we should approach things.

A little about my qualifications

I trained and studied the Doctorate of Clinical Psychology at the University of Sheffield. I am registered as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS).

I am a member of the regulatory body for clinical psychologists, the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). It is important that anybody you see is fully qualified - please feel free to look me up on the register.

I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS check (disclosure and barring service, formally CRB).
